hai stands for human + artificial intelligence. Artifical Intelligence is definitely an interesting subject, but it always starts with the intelligence of a human being. hai performance is of course a pun on high performance.
Hai is also the German word for shark – a link to my German roots and the reason for the shark in the logo. Sharks have existed for more than 400 million years and have developed unique adaptations to their living environment, such as their rough skin that reduces drag, and ever-replenishing teeth. Blue is my favourite colour, orange is complementary to it and represents the Netherlands.
